Ayurveda means, "Knowledge of Longevity' or 'Science of Life', and is a conscious-based approach to wellness. In Ayurveda the belief is "Food is medicine, medicine is Food". It is an approach to wellness with a focus on mind-body balance knowing there is an intelligence within us that knows how to heal, how to grow and how to live our full potential.
It uses lifestyle changes and eating habits to bring balance within. Its focus is on prevention but when imbalances are present, Ayurveda treats the root cause rather than symptoms.
